Self-made paper multi-squillionaire and philanthropist ...not.

(I'm actually a children's book illustrator living in the UK).

MadeByKai started completely by accident.

I made a Nintendo-inspired printable "question mark" box and shared it on my old Instagram. Suddenly, a hundred people had downloaded it and were making it! It was EXCITING and INSPIRING!

Fast-forward 5 months and now I have this small Shopify shop.

People keep asking me, "where I get all the ideas from?" and I say, "I steal them from my nieces and nephews". 😅
(It's not really true but it's funny so I keep saying it). 

The real answer is that I love making things that encourage people to put down the screens, get creative, and play together. 

And yes, that includes adults too.

Because play isn't just for kids.

The activities on MadeByKai are designed to be fun, colourful, and open-ended. Inspired by ideas around creativity, exploration, and the simple belief that:

"Play is the child's work."

I think we can all do with playing more, don't you?
